    My name is Bob Reck, owner of Catamaran SPREAD EAGLE. I came to Puerto Rico in 1982, from Massachusetts, to go sailing and scuba diving with a friend. I immediately fell in love with the island and over the next few years, I kept returning for vacations. But I always had the idea in the back of my mind of starting a scuba business here. On one of these vacations, I spent the day on the catamaran SPREAD EAGLE and I was very impressed with the operation. I remember commenting to my business partner that when we started our scuba business, I always wanted to operate much the same way as the SPREAD EAGLE.

    I've always felt that people (myself included) don't mind spending money, as long as they feel that they have received good value. Three years later, when we found out that SPREAD EAGLE was for sale, the decision to buy the business was immediate. Our main focus is to offer a great time and the best snorkeling experience to our guests.

Catamaran SPREAD EAGLE

Welcome to Puerto Rico, the island where every experience is pure enchantment!

1_1It is here that the Catamaran SPREAD EAGLE takes you on the most memorable sailing and snorkeling adventure. We are located just 30 miles away from San Juan, and we’ve been in operation since 1988. The Catamaran SPREAD EAGLE is well-reputed among its guests, who have all enjoyed sun bathing, swimming, searching for shells, and exploring the beautiful waters of Puerto Rico while enjoying our snorkeling tour. They’ve even enjoyed SPREAD EAGLE’s famous sunset and moonlight sails.

The Catamaran SPREAD EAGLE sails to the paradise island of Icacos, transporting guests aboard a 1996, 50-foot SeaRunner Catamaran, which was completely refitted in 2005. We use clean burning 4-stroke engines to maneuver in and away from the dock and sail from location to location. Our snorkeling gear is of the highest quality and we give a brand new snorkel to every guest to use on the Island and Reef. Plus, they can take their snorkel home with them at the end of the day!

The Catamaran SPREAD EAGLE currently has 11 employees. The selected crew has good knowledge of local customs, geography and history of the island, and all our staff members have an outgoing personality.

SPREAD EAGLE was the first Catamaran snorkeling tour in Puerto Rico. Over the years we have NEVER compromised quality. We are constantly seeking innovative ways to provide the best in service, menu and equipment.
